Who we are
Trauma Healing Support is a specialized trauma therapy practice serving clients across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maine, Florida, and South Carolina.
We work with people whose trauma responses are complex, persistent, and haven't fully responded to prior treatment. Our clients are often high-functioning on the outside while carrying significant internal dysregulation, disconnection, or distress. Many come to us after years of effort — in therapy and on their own — still feeling stuck.
We don't offer generalized therapy. We offer skilled, individualized trauma treatment built around who you are, how your nervous system works, and what you're actually ready for.
We work with adolescents and adults experiencing chronic trauma responses, emotional reactivity or shutdown, and attachment-related difficulties. Many seek treatment after limited progress in prior therapy and report ongoing difficulty feeling safe, grounded, or present.
Externally, clients often appear high-functioning. Internally, they may experience persistent overwhelm, disconnection, or a sense of being stuck despite significant effort.
Clients are often referred by other clinicians, medical providers, or prior therapists seeking specialized trauma care for complex presentations.
How we work
We don't rush trauma processing.
Effective trauma treatment requires a foundation. Before any trauma-focused work begins, we assess your nervous system capacity, attachment history, internal resources, and readiness. This isn't a delay — it's the work. Skipping it is what leads to retraumatization, destabilization, and treatment that doesn't hold.
Our approach integrates:
Treatment decisions are guided by ongoing clinical formulation — not predetermined timelines, insurance requirements, or one-size-fits-all protocols.

We operate as a private-pay practice because good trauma treatment requires clinical freedom.
Insurance-driven care imposes session limits, diagnosis requirements, and pacing constraints that are often at odds with what complex trauma treatment actually needs. Private pay allows us to prioritize your readiness, your nervous system, and your clinical needs — without external interference.
Upon request, we provide a super bill for possible out-of-network reimbursement. We accept credit card, HSA, and FSA.
A note on access: For survivors of violence and for children and adolescents seeking care through a parent or guardian, cost will not be a barrier. Limited scholarship options are available and considered confidentially, based on clinical need. We encourage families to reach out.

Individual TherapyHighly individualized psychotherapy for adults and adolescents requiring advanced trauma care. Treatment is tailored to your history, presentation, and nervous system capacity — not your diagnosis alone.
Sessions are clinically guided and purposefully paced, with treatment decisions driven by readiness, not external timelines.
60-minute session: $175–$250 (fee varies by clinician)
Extended Sessions & IntensivesFor clients whose needs exceed what standard sessions can hold, extended sessions and intensives offer focused, contained therapeutic work in a carefully structured format.
Intensives are offered on a limited basis and require advance consultation and clinical planning to ensure appropriateness and readiness.
Three-hour minimum: $700 · Deposit required · Offered by consultation only
Skills GroupsClinically structured, trauma-informed groups focused on building nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, and relational capacity. Groups do not involve trauma processing or disclosure of trauma narratives.

Treatment may include stabilization and resourcing, targeted trauma processing when appropriate, and integration to support improved functioning and sustained change. This service is well suited for clients who value depth, structure, and a thoughtful therapeutic process.
